Michibago Music Teachers Association
Officers, Constitution, and Bylaws

MMTA is a supportive community of independent music teachers dedicated to excellence in music education. A 501(c)(3) organization, we were established in 1985 as a way for private music educators to connect, help each other, and grow professionally.  Members come from Sheboygan County and the surrounding counties, between Lake Michigan and Lake Winnebago.

We are affiliated with Wisconsin Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association.

Named the Local Association of the Year in 2016 by the Music Teachers National Association, we were recognized for the “breadth and depth of offerings for [our] members.”

We provide programs and events that develop the full potential in teachers by promoting professional fraternity, stimulating professional growth, and encouraging high standards in music instruction among music teachers.  To develop the full potential in students, we provide quality performance opportunities for our students.
